In all of my travels, this may be my most favorite hotel EVER. The perfect location in Berlin, the beautifully restored building, the lovely rooms, the great bar and most importantly, the fabulous staff. Our family was faced with a challenging experience that required us to extend our stay with an unclear end date. The hotel's staff was kind, attentive, flexible and went way out their way to make us comfortable. They coordinated with the Circus Hostel when there was no availability at the Hotel, and team members went above and beyond to help us. As a note: people request rooms facing the pretty courtyard because it is quieter. We loved the views facing the street. The perch above the busy intersection is fabulous. It is worth the noise from the street. Make sure to have a drink in the bar by the window. Lastly, if you are looking for a less expensive option, the rooms with a private bath at the hostel are a reasonable choice.

Caring staff. My GoogleMaps led me to a door (think it was the Circus Apartments) that was on the back side of the building (I later saw I was not the only one who made that error so there's something up). Marielle and Julian helped me out a lot regarding that. Julian himself walked with me outside and guided me to the correct entrance. Both were really patient during that instance and throughout my 3 night stay. There is a connected bar with fun bartenders who also know perfect English. Outside patrons also dropped by and it was a lively atmosphere. The location is amazing as it is right by the Rosenthaler Platz station. Bus stop was right there, too. Restaurants in the area were open well past midnight. Plenty of bars. Could not have chosen a better area to stay at. My room also had a note written to me, which was a nice personal touch. A rotary phone inside added to the ambiance that I was in East Berlin (Mitte). Sleep - okay so this was a mixed bag. Stayed in 104. Though I was on the 1st floor (2nd floor for my fellow Americans), I did not hear much outside noise. Great! Earplugs were also provided. Awesome. However, it was TOO quiet. I mean I thought I was in outer space. Like I could hear the blood rush in my head. For some people that works or maybe they have music on. I've stayed in rooms all over the world, I have never been in one that silent. Good problems to have rather than the alternative. The bed was comfortable and the curtains did their job. Shower had enough pressure. TV - the only English channels are BBC news. The Sport1Germany channel has porn after like 11pm lmao. If this was 1997 that'd be exciting, but hey fun surprise.

Fabulous boutique hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Comfy beds and pillows and excellent shower. Location is central and there are loads of restaurants and bars close by..the hotel is on a main junction which means it’s easy to get to and from all the main sites. The bar is fantastic, lovely atmosphere and great cocktails/service. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Berlin.

Great location right next to Rosenthaler Platz so the cheap and very reliable U-Bahn and trams are right on the doorstep. Also close enough to the centre that you can easily walk Hotel is very nice - we had the family apartment which was clean, well equipped and spacious. Even on the 4th floor it can be a bit noisy but after a busy day you sleep like a log anyway. We didn't have breakfast there as it seemed expensive but there's plenty of options within very easy reach. Would definitely stay here again

What a magical wee hotel in a great location. Easy access to public transport links and within walking distance of city centre. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and we loved the quirky decor. Breakfast was great with a wide selection and options for all tastes.
